The bustle of the suburbs is absent from this serene trail.

On a single summer day, we saw deer, red-winged blackbirds, turtles, and heard a bullfrog. Behind this structure stretches a tree lined forest path that leads to a marshland habitat where a variety of wildlife can be observed. The nature center is a small building housing local fish, reptiles, and amphibians. Upon entering the park ($10/car this year), you have a choice to park closer to the nature center or closer to the beach. From the nature center, to the playground, to the golf course, there is enough to keep everyone entertained for hours. Lake Saint Clair Metropark, or Metropark as the locals refer to it, offers a variety of activities for park-goers of all ages.
